What you’ll doBe the Organic Sector expert of Bord Bia in the delivery of services to support the sustainable growth of the Irish organic sector for clients across Meat & Livestock, Dairy, Seafood, Horticulture, and PCF. This will mean working directly with some clients who are wholly organic, and collaboratively with other sector managers for partially organic clients.Develop and implement an organic cross sector strategy, in-line with the Bord Bia strategy, and deeply embed the proposition in all functional area’s going forward.Develop and deliver a marketing strategy plan to target specific opportunities for organic products on domestic and international markets, and increase consumer understanding of organic products, availability and seasonality.Continuously build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders through regular board consultation, participation at relevant conferences and the delivery of insights and opportunities.Represent Bord Bia and the sector at stakeholder events, roundtables, working groups meetings etc. by providing information, presentations and influencing.Develop a deep understanding of the client business, including identifying key challenges / opportunities facing the business; and engaging with partner clients through formal, regular check-ins; and capturing and sharing key actions and outputs with appropriate colleagues on CRM.Use the One Bord Bia client plan template and the client engagement model directly, or in collaboration with other sector managers, to co-create an annual plan with clients, including identifying and coordinating the delivery of the appropriate services available to them from across Bord Bia.Enhance insight of Organic sector opportunities from a client and market perspective with particular focus on future developments regarding the production and trading environment, including regular engagement with professional networks, EU committees and other expert analysis internationally.Manage the delivery of high calibre sector commentary and content, for trade media articles, and internal and external briefings with regard to Organic’s, including the provision of market insight articles for agri-media, and as well as sharing relevant analysis with the Senior Leadership Team, and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.Drive support for organisational initiatives through active industry consultation and representation, such as Origin Green, talent programmes and capability development.Manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia procedures.Embed adherence to the One Bord Bia Operating Model.About You Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities Knowledge:Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a relevant discipline; Marketing, Business Development etc.Irish food and drink industry, and its marketsOrganic food production currently, and future targetsWider agriculture sector, and its main stakeholdersBord Bia’s role and responsibilitiesOther key organisations: DAFM, Teagasc, EICommercial functioning of food businesses Experience:Marketing Strategy development and executionBusiness DevelopmentClient & Stakeholder ManagementCommissioning and delivery of important insight studiesSkills & Capabilities:Client and Stakeholder Relationship ManagementStrategic presentation development & Analytical writing skillsProject management & Budget ManagementInfluencing & NegotiationTime ManagementDesirable Experience, Skills & Capabilities Knowledge:Understanding of sector sustainability challenges.Skills & Capabilities:Digital MarketingFurther capability buildingStrong communication skills, particularly in working as part of a cross-functional team Closing Date/Time: Wednesday, 19 March 2025 @ 5:00pm (GMT/UTC) Learn more about working at Bord Bia.
