Job Description:
Proclinical is seeking an International Payroll Accountant to support our Global Financial Solutions Payroll team. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling payroll-related accounts, and conducting payroll data audits. This role involves collaboration with finance teams across various regions and requires a proactive approach to managing payroll processes and improvements.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of payroll journals, accruals, and adjustments.
2. Prepare and manage reconciliations for payroll-related balance sheet accounts.
3. Review reconciliations completed by Payroll Specialists and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies.
4. Manage hypo tax accruals and partner with mobility partners on related matters.
5. Assist in budget preparation and manage payroll purchase orders.
6. Collaborate with finance teams to address payroll accounting queries.
7. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate data and communication.
8. Lead balance sheet reviews and ensure compliance with SOX controls.
9. Recommend and implement process improvements in collaboration with payroll managers.
10. Update standard operating procedures regularly.
11. Participate in finance-related projects and systems testing.
12. Provide monthly updates to the management team.
Key Skills and Requirements:
1. Qualified Accountant or equivalent with experience in a multi-country, multinational environment.
2. Strong background in Accounting, Finance, or Payroll roles.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural settings.
5. Experience handling complexity and ambiguity in a global context.
6. Customer service-oriented with a focus on exceeding expectations.
7. Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
