The Role:
This pivotal role is responsible for driving production performance, maintaining quality and safety standards, and leading a high-performing team.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless production processes and delivering on key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide effective leadership to production teams, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with evolving Health & Safety standards and maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
Oversee production performance, focusing on metrics related to safety, efficiency, and team management.
Achieve production targets, minimise downtime, and ensure products meet strict quality standards with zero defects.
Develop and implement action plans aligned with business objectives, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and Continuous Improvement practices using industry-leading methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Service to optimise the supply chain.
Promote innovation and integration of new technologies to enhance production capabilities.
Identify and address training needs within the team to ensure skill development and operational excellence.
Support preventative maintenance programs and work closely with Engineering to resolve plant issues, focusing on root cause analysis.
Requirements: 3-5 years ' experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership responsibilities.
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
A technical qualification in Industrial Engineering is desirable but not essential.
