Job Summary
The SACC Directorate is responsible for delivering a safe, personal, clinically effective and high quality service to all patients. The core principles are based around clear accountability for all staff members. The directorate provides services in various specialties, including ENT, Breast Care, Maxillofacial, Vascular, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, Pain Management, Anaesthesia and Critical Care.
Main Responsibilities
* Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment for patients according to professional standards and under the supervision of the Consultant
* Communication with patients and relevant others regarding assessment results and recommendations
* Foster close working relationships with colleagues and other relevant professionals in maximising the patient's potential
* Maintenance of accurate records and reporting of near misses, hazards and accidents
* Promotion of a culture that values diversity and respect
Requirements
* Completed Basic Specialist Training in Anaesthetic Medicine
* Demonstrable commitment to Haematology Medicine, good decision making, broad clinical knowledge base and appropriate clinical skills
* Awareness of patient safety and risk management issues and ability to work efficiently under pressure as part of a team
Eligibility Criteria
* Registration with the Irish Medical Council
* Full competence and capability to undertake the duties attached to the office
