About the Role:
Everest Reinsurance Company (Ireland), dac (the 'Company' or 'ERCID') is part of a global reinsurance group, writing predominantly Property, Casualty & Speciality lines reinsurance in the Continental European market. ERCID is a fast-growing unit of Everest International Reinsurance and is looking to grow our Continental European business while also executing our operational transformation strategy.
The Role:
The company is looking to recruit a Senior Accounting Analyst to support our automation transformation and reporting requirements. This role will support the Head of Finance in the completion of day-to-day reinsurance accounting reporting activities and work with the wider International Reinsurance team to deliver special projects essential to a high-quality finance delivery in a transformation environment. This role will be 'hands on' where new ideas are welcomed and expected. As a team we operate with a flexible mindset to support each other and 'get the job done' - you will be flexible and excited to operate in and contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will bring well-developed multi-tasking skills with a focus on delivering outcomes to a deadline. You will have a curious mindset, be keen to understand and explain and bring an appropriate level of challenge to the processes we operate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the quarterly close timetable and production of management information and business insights.
* Support finance transformation to drive process and system improvements to enable increased efficiency and accuracy.
* Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting and financial controls across the Company.
* Provide support on various team projects as required including ERP implementation, Regulatory reporting automation and CSRD reporting development.
Requirements:
* Recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with financial services experience, preferably in the (re)insurance sector.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
* A highly organized self-starter, with the ability to prioritize workload on a continual basis.
* Analytical, with attention to detail and accuracy being essential.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact constructively within the team and with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of (re)insurance accounting principles, including Solvency II highly desirable.
