Job Title: Bid Manager
About the Role:
The Bid Manager will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the pursuit of major infrastructure projects. This includes developing and implementing winning strategies, managing bid teams, and ensuring compliance with submission requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a culture of collaboration, positivity, and success within the bid team.
* Lead effective bid teams, identify contributors, and manage, motivate, and support them throughout the programme.
* Support workshops and planning meetings to establish clear win strategies and develop storyboard content.
* Take accountability for and manage the compliance of the submission.
* Oversee reviews of quality and commercial content and legal compliance.
* Gain client intelligence from strategy and growth/marketing/CAM teams and ensure full engagement.
* Implement best practice approaches and promote the use of AECOM's bidding processes and tools.
* Identify bid training requirements and develop clear and understandable requirements for each bid.
* Manage and maintain version control for bid documents and issue them to appropriate functions for response/review/signature in line with the bid programme.
* Instill a culture where others share knowledge, insights, and learning.
* Support the B+P UK&I Pursuits Team Lead to drive professionalism and efficiency in the team and on bids.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in bid management in similar market sectors/industry, with evidence of leading significant/strategic bids within Ireland and the UK.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with experience of managing multi-disciplinary proposals of high strategic value.
* An eye for detail, not accepting second-best, and taking personal pride and responsibility for all aspects within their control.
* A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign.
* A flexible but methodical approach to supporting bidding activities across Ireland and the UK.
* The ability to work professionally and collaboratively and build credibility with colleagues at all levels within the business.
* The ability to work collaboratively with internal clients and pursue others for contributions as needed.
* The ability to work positively under pressure and deliver quality output to deadlines, inspiring team members to work effectively within the bid team.
Preferred Qualifications:
* APMP certification.
