Job Description

Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to develop and implement psychological interventions that meet individual service-users’ needs by providing holistic assessment and direct support and guidance to service-users and staff alike.
Minimum Education & Experience Required
* Relevant Master’s and/or Doctorate level, professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* Chartered membership (or eligible for) with the Psychological Society of Ireland or Chartered membership (or eligible for) of the British Psychological Society.
* At least 3 years work experience in the field of Learning Disability/Autism/Mental Health/Physical or Sensory Disability.
* An understanding of the Recovery Approach and of Person Centred Planning would be an advantage.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Support Planning – Support students/service users and the staff that support them to identify personal goals and learning, social, emotional, cognitive needs. Support students/service users to prepare for Individual Action Plan (IAP) or Person-Centred Planning meetings. Contribute to intake assessments.
* Psychological Assessment – Undertake appropriate psychological assessments using data from psychological tests, self-report measures, direct and indirect observations and interviews with students/service users and other stakeholders where appropriate.
* Psychological Intervention & Support – Design and implement high-quality, formulation-driven psychological interventions, therapies and supports based on appropriate conceptual frameworks, established evidence-based practice and Rehab Groups commitment to the principles of recovery, co-production, equality, diversity, dignity and respect.
* Practice Support & Systems Level Intervention – Provide support, regular consultation and guidance to staff to help them deliver high-quality support in line with best practice. Design and deliver training to staff to support and ensure good practice e.g., in the areas of mental health, education, rehabilitation etc.
