About the Role
MMD Construction is seeking a seasoned and ambitious Project Manager to join their growing team in Cork.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful completion of projects, adhering to safety, quality, and timeline standards.
Responsibilities
1. Manage, coordinate, and execute project scope while meeting objectives for EHS, design, technical, quality, programme, and commercial aspects.
2. Coordinate and review construction drawings, specifications, and work requirements.
3. Allocate and manage resources to ensure availability throughout construction projects.
4. Determine necessary equipment, materials, and manpower.
5. Manage quality control for the project lifecycle and ensure correct project documentation.
6. Ensure material and equipment delivery according to schedule.
7. Prepare reports on Project Management Software.
8. Modify and update the project programme with senior management to meet key milestones.
9. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.
10. Ensure compliance with BC(A)R.
11. Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and key team members.
Requirements
* Third-level qualification in a relevant construction discipline.
* Background in engineering is desirable.
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on value, risks, and programme.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills.
* Commitment to working as part of a team and career development.
* Motivated, organised, and excellent time management skills.
* Proven ability to lead and manage teams.
* Tech savvy with good computer skills.
* Good knowledge of construction materials and processes.
* Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties.
