We are looking for a forward-thinking and ambitious Senior FP&A analyst to join our FP&A team. Reporting to the FP&A Director, you will play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and analyzing business & industry performance. You will contribute to the success of the business by providing data analytics to assist with decision making. The role will include ad hoc project work and is encouraged to evolve as ESW continues to grow and expand.
Responsibilities
* Lead the financial planning process across the company, including quarterly, annual, and long-term (five-year) forecasting.
* Support and advise on strategic transactions and other special projects within Finance working closely with both the FP&A Manager & Director of FP&A.
* Perform real-time data analysis, establish KPIs, identify trends and deliver competitor intelligence and research.
* Build and maintain key metrics to help provide insights into business performance and build complex financial models and analyses.
* Preparation of Board presentations for business performance, comparisons versus competitors & other ad hoc projects.
* Own the financial model for all budgeting, forecasting & long-term forecasting, working cross functionally with all departments across the business.
* Develop financial models that guide our strategic decision-making on key P&L drivers.
* Support the monthly financial results process, providing reporting and insights.
* Partner with the business units to ensure they meet their budget targets.
* Constantly look for ways to improve processes and make valuable contributions to the function.
Requirements
* Proactive individual who can research issues, identify solutions/opportunities, based on data, and present same to senior managers on their own initiative.
* Can establish him/herself as a Subject Matter Expert for internal and external parties.
* Relevant third level qualification with 2-3 years experience in industry or practice. Experience in commercial finance preferred.
* A collaborative cross-functional work style.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven intellectual and analytical rigor as well as experience resolving complex business problems with well-structured analytics.
* Experience in software industry or automation an advantage, but not a requirement.
