The Role / Location Shopping Centre Director - Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Dublin.
Liffey Valley shopping centre is one of Dublin's major shopping centres with a total floor area of over 97,018 sq m. The centre is anchored by Marks & Spencer, Next, Dunnes Stores, Boots and Zara.
In total there are over 80 retail units, in addition to 20 F&B units and a cinema operated by Vue.
There are over 3,350 car parking spaces available on site.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of Centre Management to ensure that Liffey Valley is maintained as a first-class retail location. Key Responsibilities As Centre Director of Liffey Valley, lead the Centre Management team to manage and operate the centre to the very highest of professional standards, providing excellent customer experience to all stakeholders.
Drive excellence and innovation at Liffey Valley, ensuring that the centre remains best in class.
Liaise with the landlord / asset manager and all nominated stakeholders to help achieve their required goals and targets.
Drive and maximise customer footfall and retail sales opportunities with all retailers.
Be an ambassador for Liffey Valley with key stakeholders and within the local community. Ensure that the centre is maintained to an excellent standard and contractors are carrying out their work to an appropriate standard. Lead the site management team and 3 rd party suppliers/ contractors to ensure a joined up approach in achieving overall goals.
Ensure high levels of customer service are provided at all times by the site management team (and wider supply chain).
Monitor centre performance including footfall and retailer sales performance.
Provide such reports and attend such meetings as required for the purposes of reporting centre progress and updates.
In conjunction with the property manager and site management team, continually explore ways of operating more efficiently / updating working strategy in conjunction with evolving client, market and legislative demands.
Promote the centre's environmental performance whilst continually striving to enhance its ESG credentials.
Have a full understanding and appreciation of the business strategy for the centre and take responsibility for its implementation within the context of the onsite team.
Manage and have full responsibility of overseeing the annual service charge budget, manage expenditure throughout the service charge period and assist with the reconciliation at year end. Working with the centre marketing team and asset management team, ensure the marketing strategy is effectively developed and executed to drive footfall and sales including ongoing review of return on investment.
Ensure that the centre is pre-eminent in the Irish dominant shopping centre scheme marketplace in terms of industry recognition.
Person Specification Minimum Senior Commercial Management experience Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a large multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent communicator at all levels Excellent presentation skills Excellent Financial Management skills Influential Self motivated Proficient decision maker Ability to network Previous PR and Marketing exposure at a strategic level Strong operational H&S knowledge (preferably holding a qualification IoSH Managing Safely or equivalent).
Previous real estate, retail, leisure, property/asset management experience Desirable 5+ years Centre/Property/Asset Management experience BCSC Diploma in Shopping Centre Management or working towards it.
Previous experience of managing operations in a retail/leisure scheme in excess of 250,000
(Alternatively Hotel or Airport management) Good knowledge of corporate responsibility and environmental issues.
