Job DescriptionUS Bank's Global Custody business within Investment Services comprises of Custody, Trade Services, Cash Processing, FX, Asset Servicing, Client Services and Settlements teams.
We are currently looking to hire an experienced Custody Operations Analyst into our Trade Services team in Dublin.
The role is dynamic and fast-paced and provides great exposure, dealing with 90+ Global and US Domestic markets
Role Summary:
This person will act as an SME on the team and will be actively involved in supporting and delivering key business projects, the onboarding of new clients/business, the design and implementation of new processes and procedures, and driving efficiencies and enhancements for the trades team.
Other responsibilities include:
Monitor and process daily trade activity consistent with U.S. Bank policies.
Provide operational support and processing for various types of security trades including alternative investments, foreign and/or domestic debt and equity securities, derivatives, ETFs, FX and mutual funds.
Maintain a high level of client service with both internal and external clients.
Investigate failed trades and exceptions to ensure timely delivery or receipt of trade.
Support internal operational teams with knowledge of trade activity, failed trades, and overdraft situations.
Process incoming/outgoing swift trades, book FXs, and capture potential formatting errors before sending outbound to market.
Involvement in upcoming group projects including trade automation, new working models to support US Domestic Market trading, and keeping team procedures updated in a dynamic work environment.
Follow internal guidelines to mitigate processing errors and trade order errors as these may result in a monetary risk and/or reputation risk to the bank.
Maintain and support the investigation of our daily Recons in line with Regulatory Rules.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience/transferrable skills
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Sound knowledge of Custody, Trade Services and internal Custody applications including SEI, Trust3000, USB GTX.Good understanding of Swift and Trade/Securities Processing.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to be organized, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written communication.
Passionate about client service and delivery.
Ability to drive projects, enhance processes, and drive efficiencies.
Proficient IT skills, using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications.
