Basic Grade Pharmaceutical Technician Bon Secours Health System is developing a new 150 bed medical facility in Ballysimon to the east of Limerick City.
Building works are nearing completion with a plan to open this new state-of-the-art hospital in 2025.
This commitment will see the expansion of surgical specialties currently delivered by Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons, plus the addition of cardiology, MAU and other medical services.
We are now inviting applications for the position of Basic Grade Pharmaceutical technician
Post: Full-time, Permanent position.
Hours of work: To be confirmed at offer stage.
Remuneration: €41,084 - €52,365 per annum LSI.
(Commensurate with experience).

Essential Eligibility Criteria: Possess the Pharmaceutical Technician Diploma awarded by the University of Dublin or Possess a Pharmacy Technicians qualification at QQI Level 6 awarded by the Technological University Dublin, Technological University of the Shannon, Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Carlow or Munster Technological University or
Possess the Pharmacy Services Certificate (NVQ 3) offered by the Irish Pharmaceutical Union Knowledge and experience of working in an accredited Private Hospital or similar healthcare setting Have excellent time management and organisational skills Be competent, innovative, reliable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. A commitment to participate in continuing education and educational activities consistent with the post. Role Responsibilities of the post include, and are not limited to: Perform routine work to the highest standard, as assigned by the Chief 1 Pharmacist. Participation in the supply of drugs, pharmaceuticals and other related items as may be required. Fulfil the pharmacy department requirements to scan incoming medication as per Falsified Medicines Directive. Participation in the storage and management of pharmacy stock at pharmacy and ward level by: Provision of date control in pharmacy department including stock rotation. Answering pharmacy related queries from members of staff within the scope of practice and under the direct supervision of the pharmacist in charge.
