Job Description
Egis in Ireland is currently looking to recruit a Resident Engineer for a sewer survey project. The survey is due to commence around the end of January 2025, and the survey planning has begun.
This is a fixed term employment contract for a 12-month (1 year) period and ideally starting Mid-January 2025 or beginning of February 2025. Base: Co. Kildare (Naas, Newhall, Sallins), compound or office will be provided at a location close to one of these.
Skills required include: QGS and reporting experience, good IT and communication skills, to report back daily on Contractor activities.
Typical duties include: Walking the route of the survey ahead of the Contractor to identify issues which will require the Contractor’s attention/rescheduling, reviewing survey mapping in QGIS and reporting in detail on survey progress (incl. location references).
Qualifications
Ideally candidates will have:
A strong background in Civils construction projects and typically progressing their careers from Site Technician or Clerk of Works through to Assistant Resident Engineer to Resident Engineer. Candidates should have training in some or all of the following: Safe Pass – Manual Handling – Managing Safety in Construction – CSCS Signing Lighting Guarding – H&S Roadworks – WAH Harness Training.
Training can be provided where required but it is preferred for the candidate to have as much of the training listed as possible.

Remuneration: Salary ballpark: €45k. A van with petrol card, laptop, mobile phone will be provided.
