Quality Assurance Technician
As a Quality Assurance (QAT) technician at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products by testing them from a user's perspective. Your primary responsibilities will involve manual testing and executing and maintaining automation scripts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Write and execute test cases assigned to you by an SDET/QAE/your manager.
* Drill down on ambiguous tasks requests (new features/use cases) into clear work instructions through first pass execution or training from QA.
* Install and configure software, use debug settings, gather logs, and traces to add to bug reports.
* Give feedback on automation needs to your team/QA team for the components owned, execute and verify results of existing automated tests.
* Manage and scale the lab infrastructure based on project needs.
* Reproduce errant product behavior to assist developers or other testers and identify, track, and accurately report defects found.
* Perform defect analysis and help prioritize and escalate issues in areas within your scope.
* Analyze automation failures and report issues by isolating script/product failures.
* Develop simple tools/utilities that help the project key metrics like productivity, defect leakage, and quality in test areas owned.
Minimum Qualifications:
* BE Computer Science, BTech, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), MSc Information Technology (IT) with relevant experience in Software testing, 2 to 3 years of industry experience.
* Well-versed in SDLC and has hands-on experience on STLC.
* Fair scripting knowledge using Python and Java, able to own, execute, and verify results of existing automated tests.
