Building Surveyor
Location: Wicklow / Hybrid
About the Role:
A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a skilled Building Surveyor to join their team. This role will involve property inspections, advising on regulatory compliance, and assisting with project management to ensure the successful delivery of both residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Property Inspections: Carry out thorough inspections of properties to assess their condition and identify any structural issues or defects.
* Reporting: Prepare clear, concise reports detailing inspection findings and recommending necessary repairs or improvements.
* Regulatory Compliance: Provide advice on building regulations and planning permissions, ensuring all projects comply with relevant legal standards.
* Project Management Support: Assist in managing projects through all stages, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet their objectives and expectations.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A degree in Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Chartered status with a recognised professional body (e.g., RICS) is a plus.
* At least 3 years of experience in building surveying, with a solid understanding of building regulations and construction practices.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant surveying software.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
