Job Description:
The successful candidate will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable CMMS system and plan & deliver maintenance projects across the site in Cavan. It's an exciting time to join this company which has over €50 billion in sales worldwide and is committed to achieving carbon neutrality. The plant in Cavan is currently being upgraded to a world-class manufacturing facility. The Equipment Engineer will be required to be on call as per the on-call procedure during an agreed time slot. This is a staff role with excellent benefits and a lucrative on-call bonus.
Responsibilities:
1. Scope the full extent of all maintenance works required to conduct the relevant repair/preventive/predictive/design-out activities on the organization's plant and equipment.
2. Maximize equipment reliability through using planned maintenance most effectively.
3. Develop cost and time-based estimates of planned maintenance work, including overtime, contractor, and component costs.
4. Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality while incorporating a clear EHS mode into work practice.
5. Schedule maintenance work into the plant production plans.
6. Ensure KPIs are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance, planning, and scheduling business flow process.
7. Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
8. Participate in WCM processes and projects & own the Reliability pillar board.
9. Ensure all team compliance training is up to date.
10. Ensure adherence to all EHS activities.
Requirements:
1. Qualification in an Engineering Discipline to degree level
2. Min 3 years of engineering experience in a high-volume heavy manufacturing engineering environment
3. Strong ICT skills (particularly Microsoft Office), Knowledge of CMMS (PEMAC)
4. Trade qualification (Fitter)
5. Experience of managing a diverse portfolio of operational responsibilities
6. Proven track record of successful Project Management
7. Excellent data analysis skills, enthusiastic and hands-on attitude
8. Ability to write detailed repair reports and good verbal communication
9. Strong presentation skills, coupled with the ability to lead a large group of people
