Are you ready to lead a team of talented engineers and shape the future of water infrastructure? Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Solutions team as a Senior Hydraulic Modeller in our rapidly growing Dublin, Cork or Galway offices - as well as taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. At AECOM, we’re at the forefront of innovation, delivering an exceptional portfolio of water programmes and projects through long-term partnerships with key clients. These include Irish Water and Northern Ireland Water.
In this role, you will be a key player in delivering impactful water projects across the UK and internationally. We enable the development of nationally significant flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction, and infrastructure projects, and this variety will be fundamental to your continuous professional growth. A unique aspect of our approach is that our modelling team is fully integrated with the wider project teams, ensuring that our modellers work closely alongside experts in other areas to develop comprehensive solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver: Lead hydraulic model build and verification of sewer networks; oversee integrated model development, scope and plan projects including flow survey verification, and lead development of catchment scale strategic solutions for flooding and pollution risks.
2. Technical Expertise: Take the lead on technical innovation including application of new technologies; problem solve for our Clients and develop scopes and tender responses.
3. Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate modelling findings effectively using strong communication skills.
4. Leadership: Mentor and support team members as part of their professional development. Foster positive Client relationships.
5. Quality: Act as a reviewer of hydraulic models, calculations and technical reports, ensure a quality team delivery, and compliance with modelling specifications.

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
1. A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Sciences, Civil Engineering, or similar subject with more than six years of experience.
2. Experience in Hydraulic Modelling GIS or Data Analysis, in particular Innovyze ICM, InfoAsset, ArcGIS or MapInfo.
3. Experience in water consultancy.
4. Working towards Chartership or member of professional body.
