Waterford We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to join our team for an exciting and large-scale educational development project based in Waterford.
Role Overview As Project Manager, you will lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the construction project, ensuring high-quality results on time and within budget.
Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the project from inception through to successful handover, while adhering to industry standards, safety protocols, and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and direct all activities involved in the construction and delivery of the educational facility, ensuring all project objectives are met with excellence.
Develop detailed project schedules, ensuring that milestones are achieved in alignment with the overarching programme and client expectations.
Monitor and enforce compliance with Health and Safety regulations, ensuring the project site remains a safe working environment at all times.
Coordinate all project-related activities in line with the companys quality management system, including adherence to engineering specifications and regulatory standards.
Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, from initiation to final handover, ensuring seamless integration of all construction phases.
Proactively resolve challenges such as delays, unforeseen weather impacts, and any other emergencies to keep the project on track.
Ensure the highest level of quality control and ensure that each stage of construction meets the right first time philosophy.
Manage, mentor, and motivate the on-site team, including subcontractors and internal staff, ensuring smooth operations across all work areas.
Work closely with subcontractors to align their schedules with the main programme and monitor their performance to maintain productivity.
Manage project costs and resource allocation to ensure efficient execution and to maximise profitability while maintaining quality.
Uphold the highest standards in health, safety, and environmental practice at all stages of the project lifecycle.
What We Are Looking For A minimum of 6years of post-qualification experience working with on large-scale, high-traffic construction sites.
Proven expertise in managing high-value projects and teams across multiple disciplines.
In-depth knowledge of construction regulations, certification standards, and the latest industry best practices.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and forecast project budgets effectively.
A proactive, results-oriented approach with the ability to drive projects forward and exceed client expectations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A passion for delivering projects to the highest standards and striving to exceed targets.
