Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Building Services to lead the mechanical design on a variety of projects, including commercial high-rise buildings, data centres, and pharmaceutical facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working across various RIBA project stages on client-side or contractor-side appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist management in developing fee proposals
* Manage projects by taking ownership of the mechanical design in a client-facing role and participating or chairing project meetings
* Oversee the mechanical design process and associated systems, including templates, calculations, specifications, and drawings
* Mentor mechanical engineers
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering
* 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in similar projects
* Experience using AutoCAD is essential
* Experience using Revit is desirable
* Familiarity with industry design standards such as CIBSE
* Experience with BREEAM or knowledge of environmental assessment methods
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
* Ability to work fully remotely
* Permission to legally work in the UK and Ireland
* Driving licence and own transport
