VANRATH have partnered with an industry leader in leisure that is rapidly expanding. The organisation is recruiting for an Operations Manager position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any operations experienced individual to join a longstanding company that offers many routes for progression.
As an Operations Manager, you will have an overall responsibility to lead the team and manage the centre according to company's shared values, standards, policies & procedures. You will make the day-to-day operational as well as strategic, long-term decisions to achieve your centre's objectives and overall company's vision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a pleasant and positive communication with all members, effectively dealing with any customer enquiries.
* Manage employees – recruit staff and ensure appropriate learning and development for new and existing employees.
* Lead the talent development programme.
* Create succession plans, drive employee learning and development, ensuring that all staff receive regular performance feedback.
* Coordinate management team activities on site.
* Ensure the leisure centre operates at its best commercial potential.
* Work with the support office team to deliver a strategic sales and marketing plan.
* Maintain the highest health and safety standards at all times.
* You will also be responsible for the financial and budgetary aspects of your centre, ensuring it reaches its optimum potential.
* You will represent the company professionally and be an ambassador.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline (ideal).
* Experience in managing, growing, developing, and supporting a team.
* Natural multi-tasker who thrives in fast-paced and varied environments.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Operational management experience.
* Good understanding of finance.
* Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
* Familiarity with health and safety and compliance regulations.
