You will work closely with senior care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained, while also promoting continence, assisting with last offices, and participating in social activities.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for answering nurse calls, interacting with clients, and making visitors feel welcome.
Our Nursing Homes provide private residential, convalescent, and rehabilitative care in purpose-built facilities, located in Dublin, Meath, Louth, Kildare, Kilkenny, and Cavan.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality care to residents, ensuring their dignity and individuality are maintained
• Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other aspects of daily living
• Monitor clients who may be confused or have behavioral problems
• Assist in the promotion of continence and participate in social activities
• Answer nurse calls, give assistance as required, and respond accordingly
• Make visitors feel welcome, provide refreshments, and assist as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of resident rooms and communal areas
• Ensure the proper use of resources, equipment, and waste disposal
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• FETEC/NFQ 5 or equivalent qualification
• Current Influenza and COVID Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
