Dublin Pottery and Tufting are seeking a venue assistant to help with daily running of the venue.
This role will consist of administrative, organizational and preparational tasks.
The studio is a highly creative environment with different personalities and artists at work with workshops held 5-7 days a week.
This role is suited to someone with an interest to learn about events, ceramics and tufting and who wants regular fixed hours in a creative environment.

WEEKLY DUTIES
* Processing Pottery: Processing guests' pieces from events and classes.
* Organizing Collections: Dealing with customer collections and queries.
* Cleanup: Keeping the venue clean, cleaning wheels, work laundry.
* Venue Preparation: Cleanup and setup of venue, decorations, lights, bathroom.
* Assisting guests: Dealing with queries, responding to emails.
* Kitchen Duties: Keeping stock of shopping and supplies.
* Purchasing: Getting supplies required for studio.
* Pottery prep: Wedging clay, cleaning tools, sorting collections.
* Recycling: Organizing recycling of materials and waste.
* Tufting: Stock take of supplies, maintenance of equipment.
* Event Work: Setup of the space and breakdown.
* Glazing: Assisting teachers and supervisor with waxing and glazing (training provided).
* Kiln: Unloading, cleaning, prep firing.
* Admin Tasks.
* Maintaining tufting stock and equipment.
PAY
Starting rate is €13.70 for this position.
Qualifications
No prior qualifications are needed but an interest in ceramics, tufting and creativity is essential.
