MERLYN, the UK’s leading shower enclosure company, is currently recruiting a digital content specialist to help elevate our brand presence online and engage our audiences with “on brand” inspiring, high-quality content. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to drive multi-channel growth through creating digital content to engage and nurture target audiences. A passion for interiors and design would be very advantageous.
The successful candidate will need to work at the Kilkenny office 3-days per week.
The Digital Content Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving our online presence and brand engagement. You will create, curate, and manage content across various digital channels, including social media, website, email, and blogs. Your storytelling skills, attention to detail, and understanding of digital trends will be crucial to delivering content that resonates with our audience and supports our brand’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Strategy:
* Develop and execute a digital content plan that aligns with brand strategy and values.
* Produce engaging, informative, and visually appealing content, including articles, blog posts, product descriptions, social media updates, and more.
* Collaborate with inhouse designer and agencies to produce visual content, including images, videos, and infographics for digital platforms.
Social Media Management:
* Manage the company’s social media channels posting regularly and engaging with followers.
* Monitor trends in social media and bathroom design, adapting content to stay relevant.
* Develop and execute social media campaigns that promote products, seasonal trends, and bathroom design inspiration.
Email Marketing:
* Utilising our database, create and manage email marketing calendar to include newsletters, promotional offers, and product launches.
Content Analytics:
* Monitor and analyse content performance across digital platforms, using insights to adjust strategies and improve effectiveness.
* Provide monthly reports on KPIs such as engagement, reach, website traffic, and conversion rates.
Collaboration:
* Work closely with the marketing, sales and NPI teams to align content with brand campaigns and launches.
* Coordinate with our external PR to reach influencers, bloggers, and industry experts to expand brand reach and credibility.
Key Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience in digital content creation, social media management, or digital marketing, ideally within the home or interior design industry.
* Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging content tailored to a bathroom-focused audience.
* Proficiency in using social media platforms, content management systems, and email marketing tools.
* Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to translate brand vision into effective content.
* An organised and detail focused work style.
* Knowledge of current design and bathroom trends is a plus.
* Willingness to travel to shows and exhibitions to manage social.
Qualifications/Education
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
