Role OverviewGourmet Food Parlour is seeking a passionate and results-driven Restaurant Events & Private Bookings Specialist to lead the promotion and coordination of private dining experiences across our restaurant locations.
This newly created role is ideal for someone with a flair for hospitality, relationship-building, and event coordination.
You'll work closely with our culinary and operations teams to deliver tailored, unforgettable events, from hen parties and communions to corporate functions and special celebrations.
This position will be primarily based on-site with frequent client-facing meetings and venue tours to showcase our vibrant restaurant spaces.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Client & Relationship Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for all private booking and event inquiries.Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat clients.Ensure an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry through to post-event follow-up.Conduct client meetings and site visits to understand event goals and expectations.Event Planning & Coordination:Work with the culinary and front-of-house teams to create bespoke event plans tailored to each client's needs.Develop and present detailed proposals, menus, and event packages.Ensure all dietary requirements, special requests, and logistics are accurately captured and communicated.Manage event schedules, timelines, and internal coordination to ensure flawless execution.Sales & Business Development:Actively promote Gourmet Food Parlour's private dining and event offerings across all restaurant locations.Identify and pursue new opportunities to grow event sales through networking, social media, and outreach.Handle pricing negotiations and generate contracts, quotes, and invoices with clarity and professionalism.Maintain a strong knowledge of our menus, services, and venue capabilities to confidently upsell packages and services.Venue Management & Promotion:Oversee the event calendar to ensure optimal booking and use of spaces.Coordinate with restaurant managers to secure staffing and logistics for each event.Represent the brand at local networking events and promotional activities.Regularly update promotional materials and content for social media and the company website.Required Skills & Abilities:Proven experience in event sales, business development, or hospitality/events coordination.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage multiple events and timelines.Confident in negotiating, closing deals, and managing contracts.Creative and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of hospitality and event trends.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic CRM or booking software.Availability for evening and weekend work, based on event schedules.Desirable Skills & Abilities:Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.Experience conducting venue tours and preparing professional proposals.Familiarity with event planning software or POS systems.A personal interest in food, dining, and creating memorable experiences.Experience in content creation or event promotion via social media.Benefits:Join an exciting and fast-growing Irish hospitality group, with excellent opportunities for career development and creativity.
