What's the Role: Support Worker
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions. So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team supports our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, and taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day-to-day life.
The role involves shift work and as such flexibility to work a combination of early shifts, late shifts and also weekends is essential. Availability to do x2 sleep over shifts per month is required.
Where You Would Work: Arigna House, Leitrim Village, Co. Leitrim
Arigna House, Leitrim provides residential care to adults with Intellectual disability & Autism. At the moment we have 2 residents who have 1:1 staff. We will have a third resident in the future. In Arigna House we strive to ensure that each resident has a service tailored to their needs and is person-centered, respecting and promoting their choices. Residents have a dedicated key working team who are there to support each resident in achieving their goals, dreams and aspirations. Resident rights and choice are promoted within the scheme with residents being actively involved in their homes and community. Staff are visitors in the resident's home and therefore must practice the values of dignity and respect at all times. Staff are provided with all mandatory training along with scheme-specific training to ensure that staff have the knowledge and skill base required to support each resident.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full Time and Relief Positions Available
€27,990 - €38,844 per annum*
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. When the role requires sleep-in duties a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies.
