We have been making a difference in the lives of Irish people since 1946.Purpose of the Role:As an Operations Shift Lead, you will be instrumental in guiding and nurturing a group of process leads, developmental process leaders, and operations processors.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure production goals and timelines are achieved while implementing and upholding processes that boost productivity.
Your exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities will be vital in cultivating a fast-paced and inclusive workplace.Responsibilities:Ensure strict adherence to Corporate and Divisional policies.Fulfil manufacturing schedules by delivering the required volume and product mix each year.Facilitate problem-solving initiatives related to plant operations and manufacturing equipment to secure product quality and achieve production targets.Strive to meet productivity, quality, and cost efficiency goals.Maintain compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.Assist in the development of Work Instructions and Operations procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.Conduct Performance Excellence Assessments and Development plans to foster ongoing improvement.Contribute to Exception Reports concerning the Manufacturing department.Champion initiatives that prioritize human health, safety, and environmental sustainability in business practices.Education and Experience:A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Business, or a trade certificate in an Engineering field is preferred.At least 4 years of experience in a comparable manufacturing setting is preferred.Proven track record in executing strategic gross margin improvement projects within the manufacturing sector.Experience in leading teams effectively.Strong interpersonal skills for successful collaboration with diverse teams.Excellent communication skills to articulate information clearly and effectively.We offer:Attractive compensation package that includes competitive pay, as well as benefits such asHealth Insurance for you and your familyPensionLife insuranceShort Term Disability ProtectionLong Term Disability ProtectionCarers leave.Education AssistanceAbbott is an equal opportunities employer.
